FAQs

How does the bar track how much customers are drinking?

Staff can determine the total amount poured per table by looking at the digital display mounted in each table. In addition, The TableTap System also allows management to track total consumption and run reports using Table Tap LLC’s proprietary software which comes standard with the TableTap System – a server and screen are positioned behind the bar displaying consumption information for every table! Depending on the POS provider, TableTap may also be able to integrate into your EPOS system, for an additional one time fee.

Can I charge more for beer through TableTap?

It’s completely up to you, but many of our customers have increased the price of pints by 20-40p once they’ve had TableTap installed – customers don’t blink an eye at paying a little extra for their pint when they get to enjoy the experience and convenience of having their own personal beer tap!

How long does it take to install?

We aim to complete installations within 7 days, however every installation is different and we would of course provide a more accurate installation time once we have completed a site survey to establish the level of work involved with the installation.

Can you get more than one type of beer at the table?

Yes, we can put up to four taps on each table and each tap can pour a different brand!

What if I don’t want to drink the brand of beer at my table?

Most of our installations opt for two Taps at each table, for example a Fosters and a Kronenbourg. However, they’ll have a different paid or beers at most tables, so the table next door may offer Carling and Amstel. If a customer wants to drink a particular brand of beer then they simply ask to be seated at a table offering that brand.

Can Table Tap retrofit an existing restaurant/bar with a Table Tender System?

Yes, we can install TableTap in building’s that are over a hundred years old! Obviously installs in new build projects are easier, but our site survey will establish exactly what work is involved and 99.9% of the time we’ll find a way of getting Self Service Draught Beer onto your tables with as little disruption as possible!

So could a customer just sit down and drink all day without being monitored?

No! We’re able to set a limit for the amount of beer dispensed at each table, which we agree with you prior to installing the system (this can be changed in the future). The TableTap System will dispense up to say 8 pints per table at which point the taps shut off automatically, and the flow of beer is disabled. Your staff will be notified of any table that shuts down behind the bar, and a waiter is then required to go to that table with a key to reinitiate pouring after determining whether or not the party is suited to continue drinking.
